A family was crying about their dead family member at a funeral. Their family doctor attended the funeral. He offered words of comfort to the family. "I'm so sorry, but if he had not been drinking so much and was treated with more care, he wouldn't have died." One of the family members said coldly, "Doctor, it's no use talking like that now. You should have taken good care of him when he was alive." The doctor couldn't say anything.  

의사와 환자 

장례식에서 한 가족이 고인이 된 가족에 대해 울고 있었어요. 그때 그들의 주치의가 장례식에 참석했어요. 그는 가족에게 위로의 말을 전했어요. “정말 미안합니다. 하지만 그가 술을 많이 마시지 않고 더 열심히 치료를 받았다면 죽지 않았을 겁니다.” 그러자 가족 중 한 명이 차갑게 말했어요. “의사선생님, 지금와서 그런 식으로 말하는 건 소용이 없습니다. 환자가 살아 있을 때 잘 보살펴줬어야지요.” 의사는 더 이상 아무 말도 할 수 없었어요.​
